AUTHENTICATION PROCEDURE
In order to have a document authenticated by the CONSULATE OF HONDURAS, it should:
1) be Notarized by a Notary Public
2) be authenticated by the District Office of the State where was issued;
3) be authenticated by the Secretary of State of the Stated where the document was issued;
4) be authenticated by the Department of State nearest to the CONSULATE OF HONDURAS.

To obtain the authentication of the United States Department of State, in Washington, D.C., documents must be sent to:

MAKE A COPY OF EACH SET OF DOCUMENTS THAT WILL BE PRESENTED FOR AUTHENTICATION TO THE CONSULATE OF HONDURAS.
Before the document leaves the country it must have the authentication of the CONSULATE OF HONDURAS. Payments has to be made thru a Company Check, Certified Check or Money Order, and must be made payable to the CONSULATE OF HONDURAS--or cash is acceptable. If the authentication is done through the mail, you must enclose, in addition to the document(s) and the check or Money Order or cash, a self addressed stamped envelope, for the return.
